Travelled w 30 people (handicapped, helpers, leaders), stayed at Sunwing hotel
in Ayia Napa, visited Troodos mountains, Ghost town Famagusta, Many beaches, 6
hour boatride to various beautiful locations. Partied downtown Ayia Napa (they
say it's like Ibiza).

This was my favorite beach, but then I missed the party section of this beach, which apparently was further away from our hotel (walk on the big road, then turn left at the big sign saying "Nissi Beach" is what I should have done to get to the party beach). |

GHOST TOWN |
|
Known as Famagusta, as close as you are allowed. Now a no-mans land guarded by UN troops. A result from the Turk invasion, splitting Cyprus in two - Greekcyprus and Turkcyprus. Famagusta used to be even bigger than Ayi Napa but is since 1974 totally uninhabited - it's ca 100 hotels are plundered and empty. Another result of UNs inability to take action. We need team America World Police more than against Hitler, Milosevic and Saddam! Why not fix Famagusta so we could create a heaven for homeless there? |
